This is a nationally recognised 1day course accredited by Energy and Utility Skills (EUS) to provide a consistent utility industry approach in line with HSE guidelines.

Successful completion of the SHEA Water course will also allow candidates to be registered on the Water Industry Registration Scheme (WIRS) which is a mandatory requirement for those working on self lay mains and services schemes.

The course entails training towards seven core modules common to all utility industries followed by three further water industry specific modules for operatives involved in either Network or Process operations respectively. Each module culminates with a multi choice test. Successful candidates are registered on the Energy and Utility Skills Register database and are issued with a CSCS affiliated photo card, which is required to be carried and used as proof of accreditation in the work place and will allow access for water workers to enter construction sites.
